If life is your beloved lady and you are wooing her with adequate effort, a hidden smile shall begin in the corner of her eys. You have to wait patiently, till her lips can enrich the smile which her eyes began. This waiting period to enjoy the results differs from person to person and from one instance to another for the same person too. Modern management consultants call this the "Staying Power". The medical consultant next door calls this "Stamina". The ability to motivate oneself and persist patiently is Emotional Intelligence, say psychologists. For people like Nelson Mandela, waiting for their turn to make history is part of their personality. For the rest of us, patience as a virtue can be developed! Desperation snatches away the pleasure of waiting. Desperation and restlessness vanish in the presence of the faith that, "I am being led by a greater force every day towards an unknown destination." The great poet John Milton echoes this thought, "They also serve who only stand and Wait......"
