Does everything in life, including the lives of our loved ones, deserve an emotional response of just a couple of days? After that everything is just memory, is it? A few days of tears for someone who parented me all my life, and then I just flush out my emotions…. No more tears, no more heart, just mind and memory, is it? That's all, is it? The value of anything in life is just a few days of emotional response, is it? Animals are not capable of emotional response, man alone is. So the difference between man and animal in this aspect is just a few days, is it?
Tears are not a sign of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than a million tongues. They are messengers of unspeakable emotions. Tears have a very strange function: whenever the heart experiences an emotion that it cannot express through normal means, it uses tears as an alternative channel of expression. Tears may mean anything. You may be very happy, so happy that it may come out as tears. No words spoken, yet tears will express it all.
Never be ashamed of your tears - especially men. Who told you that it is feminine to cry? It is a plain fact that women, because they are not stopped from crying, are psychologically healthier than men. More number of men commit suicide compared to women; more number of men go insane compares to women - simply because women have the freedom to cry. Behind all that you call yourself - doctor, engineer, scientist, bishop, a spritual master - remember you are just a human being, designed by the creator with the freedom to cry.
Live to the point of tears.
